EvoLution This is soooo awesome! You can already make free WiFi calls via other clients, such as Skype and Truphone, but Facebook has more users so there is the potential that this could be more important for Facebook users. As you can see in my screenshot, the updated Facebook Messenger for iOS app adds a new Free Call button when you tap the “i” icon in the upper right of a conversation in Messenger. I discovered this updated application late last night and since none of my Facebook friends were up I couldn’t test it out myself. According to the folks at The Verge, call quality is good and on par with other clients. We have seen companies like HTC try to create a Facebook phone and Facebook has apps for every mobile platform.

Facebook Android Users Get Free Calling With Messenger App

I’m not sure what the quality of the calls sounds like on the Android app, but at the very least, Facebook’s free voice calling feature could be helpful if you’re trying to save on your voice minutes. Recently, Facebook has been beefing up its messaging service in both its main app and its Messenger app. Along with voice calling, the company has also added voice messages and stickers — calling Cambodia from Australia which are big emoticons. Facebook also introduced a feature called Chat Heads earlier this month for both its iPhone Facebook app and for Android on its Facebook Home interface. That feature lets users chat with their friends while they go through the app. If a friend sends a message, users can simply tap on their floating head and the conversation will expand.

Forget Your iPhone’s Phone App, Use Viber – Free Calls over WiFi, 3G

Viber virtual phone number greece works on both 3G and WiFi and, according to Apple pundit John Gruber, who gave the app a spin recently, the voice quality knocks the socks off AT&Ts service. Admittedly, there are a few downsides to using Viber as a replacement for your iPhones Phone app, Gruber notes. The benefits, however, seem to make up for it. While Viber doesnt make much sense to download and use the app on AT&Ts 3G network, since AT&T offers free calling between iPhone users, it does make a difference for those calling outside their country. Viber is an iPhone application that lets you make free call apps for android phone calls to other iPhone users that have Viber installed, the developer explains. When you use Viber, your phone calls to any other Viber user are free, and the sound quality is much better than a regular call. You can call any Viber user, anywhere in the world, for free.
